Chief Executive Officer
Tim Weller is Chief Executive Officer of Datto. He provides strategic leadership, sets the vision and establishes long-range goals for the company. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Tim served in various C-level positions at Datto including President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer, where he ran day-to-day operations and established global go-to-market strategies. Tim brings extensive executive leadership experience with technology-based companies to Datto. Prior to joining, Tim served as the Interim CEO and CFO of London-based financial technology company Wonga. He was also CFO of two Boston-based public companies, EnerNoc, a clean energy technology company, and Akamai, where he led a team that completed one of the top-performing initial public offerings of all time.
Early in his career, Tim was an equity research analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. In addition to his many leadership roles, Tim has also been a software developer, video game designer, angel investor, and advisor to many technology company CEOs.
Tim holds a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois and a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering from Michigan State University.
Ted is President and co-founder of IT Weapons, a Division of Konica Minolta. Ted’s job is focused largely on developing the company’s go-to-market and client experience strategy; ensuring the long-term course remains in concert with the organization’s core values: integrity and expertise. As a 25-year IT industry veteran, Ted has a long history of helping Canadian technology leaders build and manage high-performance IT ecosystems. When this Weapon is offline, he travels with his family, works his hobby farm, and plays high risk hockey. Oh, and Beer.
Tim is an entrepreneur and business leader in the technology sector, with over 20 years of experience in the managed services sector. In late 2007 Tim founded Iconnyx, which became a successful London based IT managed services provider. The business was successfully built up and then sold to a trade buyer in the Summer of 2012. From early 2013 until late 2016, Tim ran Taylor Made Computer Solutions, and led the transformation of that business from a traditional IT services company, to it now being one of the leading managed services companies in the UK. Throughout 2017 he was appointed to the role of non-executive Chairman on the Board of a number technology businesses.
